Tour after the National Weekend

Following the success of the Southland tour after the 2009 National Weekend a tour is  planned to follow immediately after the 2010 weekend starting after the final lunch on the afternoon of Sunday 28th February and finishing at a luncheon around the Rotorua-Taupo area on Friday 5th March 2010.   The tour is to travel to through an area north of Waitomo to Raglan for the first night.  On the Monday the tour will travel north and a stop is planned at the new Hampden Downs racetrack before heading north and east across to the Thames - Coromandel - Waihi - Bay of Plenty area before heading south for the last two nights in Rotorua.  Visits are being planned to include wildlife, mysterious railways, arts & crafts, gold mining history, thermal hotspots & special scenery to name a few.

Refer to the links below for information about the tour, registration form and accommodation booking information.  However, as at the beginning of December, accommodation is becoming hard to find at some locations on the tour (Whangamata)
