TR Register (New
Zealand) Inc |
|
One of the prime objectives of the TR Register NZ Inc is to maintain a record or register of all the Triumph TR's and related models in this country. During 2007 a project is under way to bring the Register records as up to date as possible. There are around 600 known TR's in this country but, over the years, details of owner and location of some have been lost as the cars have changed hands. This has been compounded by the relatively popularity of personalised number plates where the same TR may have had more than one number plate over the years. We need your help to locate (or relocate) as many as possible of the TR’s in New Zealand. If you see any TR anywhere or know of any TR’s in daily use or hidden away in a shed or garage please use the forms below to note what details you can to help the Registrar bring the records up to date. There will still be a few TR2-6's that have been privately imported over the last 30+ years that are unknown to the Register. However, it is very likely that the majority of "unknown" TR's will be TR7's, TR7 V8's and maybe even the odd TR8 that have arrived more recently and some may still be in use as "daily drivers". These should be easier to spot as they may be on the road more often than most of the older cars but, also, there are quite a few of these stored away with all sorts of projects in mind. Wherever possible please try to note the Commission Number (as this is what is used to identify each TR and does not change unless it is lost and a new "VIN" issued), the owner details, where it is located as well as the last known registration. The ultimate would be a photograph as well. Return
to Don’t forget to include YOUR name as prizes will be given for the most unknown TR’s spotted. Here are links to the form(s) to use: TRR TR Spotting 2007.doc (In WORD format so you can fill out and email back) TRR TR Spotting 2007.pdf (In .PDF format so you can print, fill out and post back)
