Auckland and Hamilton Drive Your Triumph Day

Event Date:
Wednesday, February 10, 2021

Sir John Black’s Birthday (February 10th) has now become an annual International celebration of all things Triumph car, aka ‘Drive Your Triumph Day’.

Triumph drivers across the globe are encouraged to take a drive and take some photos to share - details on how to share photos at the end of this e-mail.

The photos can be taken on your own or in a group, whatever suits you!

If you want to be part of a group photo, ATCC are organising multiple meet-up locations in Auckland, and also one in Hamilton, for members who want to celebrate 'Drive Your Triumph Day 2021' by taking a drive and a group photo somewhere scenic.

AUCKLAND BASED MEMBERS have TWO OPTIONS (see furhter down for HAMILTON members):

Auckland NORTH & WEST Meet-up Point:

Meet Mike Green & Richard Wooster at Westgate Burger King at the top of the NorWestern Motorway at 6.30 pm, we will be leaving by 7pm and heading to the highest point in Auckland (hopefully for a photo OP). Bring your own bikkies and thermos or other liquid refreshment. Going to try to keep away from high traffic flows, (but may change the route if the weather isn’t great).

Please RSVP via e-mail to Mike Green if you are joining the NORTH & WEST Meet-up so that he has confirmed attendees:

Auckland SOUTH & EAST Meet-up Point:

Meet Graeme Brown and Warren Curran at 7.00pm for a 7.15pm start in the top corner of the BOTANY Pak' n Save Car Park, 501 Ti Rakau Drive, East Tamaki.

The SOUTH & EAST run will be through Pakuranga, Ellerslie, Newmarket, Khyber Pass, down Queen St, around the waterfront to Mission Bay for coffee / ice cream then find our own way home.

Please RSVP via e-mail to Graeme Brown if you are joining the SOUTH & EAST Meet-up so that he has confirmed attendees:

Meet at Hamilton Classics Museum, 11 Railside Place, Dinsdale, Hamilton at 7pm.

Please RSVP via e-mail to Chris Jones if you are joining the HAMILTON Meet-up so that he has confirmed attendees:

How to share your photos:

E-mail a high-resolution photo to, along with some basic information: owner’s name, year and model of car, and place photo was taken (city, state, country).

The photos will then be published not only in our club newsletter, but also in USA’s national magazine: Vintage Triumph Registry, and on the Drive Your Triumph Day website:

Also, don't forget to share your photos on the ATCC private Facebook page. ATCC will pick a number of the posted photos to be used on to our public Facebook page and also in our up coming year book.
